Physical item is tightly bound with a pamphlet binder; additionally, pages are aged, and have become hard & stiff. Each of these factors causes conflict with the scanning process, particularly in regards to the two folded leaves of plates. When unfolded, they are unable to lie flat & smooth--as a result, resolution of scanned images may be soft or slightly blurry; scanned copy represents best possible image quality. Furthermore, overcropping on these leaves will be evident in order to capture as much of text/image as possible.
